Charleston Dancers to appear on BBC One this Tuesday 29th July
Charleston dance teachers Anthony Padgett and Stephanie Sturges will be appearing on BBC One this Tuesday 3rd July at 9pm along with 20 of their dancers as part of the "Turn Back Time" series.
Anthony and Stephanie were invited to teach dance for the upper class family's night out at the Midland Hotel, Morecambe, as part of the 1920's period. They specialise in the Charleston dance and have classes at Matt & Phred's Jazz Club in Manchester's Northern Quarter, 64 Tibb Street, M4 1LW every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
The program has 3 families who lived the lives of working, middle and upper class families from 5 different periods in the 20th century. it was Anthony ans Stephanie's job to show the groups how to really kick up their heels, 1920's style.
