Alexis will be performing some of her favourite standards plus original material from her début album, This is New to Me. The Leeds-based saxophonist's compositions include styles she enjoys playing and listening to, such as funk, blues and straight-ahead. Taking inspiration from people she knows and what what going on at the time of writing, Alexis took her music into the studio in April of last year and the end result is what you will hear tonight. She will be joined by her quartet, which includes Al MacSween on keys, Emlyn Vaughan on bass and Sam Gardner on drums.
