Andrew Woodhead Trio
Taking their cue from the likes of EST, John Taylor and the Herbie Hancock/Ron Carter/Tony Williams rhythm section, the trio will be exploring some "modern classics" of the jazz repertoire, in addition to a few originals and their own take some choice standards.
Woodhead and his band have performed at last year's Manchester Jazz Festival as well as venues such as Wakefield Jazz Club, The Wardrobe and Seven Artspace in Leeds. Expect an evening of subtle, melodic improvisation from this fast-emerging trio of the best young players in the region.
