INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY FT ARUN GHOSH
We have a very special gig this evening to celebrate International Jazz Day FT Arun Ghosh!
Arun Ghosh is a British-Asian clarinettist, composer and music educator. Conceived in Calcutta, bred in Bolton, matured in Manchester and now living in London Arun Ghosh's musical vocabulary and vision reflects his rich geographical heritage.
Using the spirit and language of Jazz, with the sounds and styles of Hip-Hop, Indian Classical and Folk, western Classical, Rock, Pop and Avant-garde, Ghosh's music is full of lyrical melodies and searching harmonies, down to earth directness and psychedelic ambient introspection.
Arun is joined on stage with a stella line up of musicians including, John Ellis, Jason Singh and Dave Walsh.

In November 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated the 30th April as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe. Through this united effort, International Jazz Day is the one day each year that jazz is celebrated worldwide, bringing together people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities in 195 countries
Jazz is embraced all over the world; for more than a century, jazz has helped uplift millions of people in all corners of the globe. International Jazz Day highlights and leverages the unifying attributes of this music through extraordinary events and programs worldwide on April 30 of each year.
