James Mainwaring Trio
UK based award winning saxophonist and composer James is known for a style that compliments a wide range of music, from the warmest heart-felt ballads to the energy of fast and complex pieces. At 22 James has a technique beyond his years and applies extended saxophone technique to a conventional foundation. He fuses contemporary composition techniques with the jazz tradition and his wide range of influences include names as diverse as Chris Potter, Mark Turner, Anthony Braxton and John Zorn.
With Leeds based musician's Mick Bardon (bass) and Luke Reddin-Williams (drums), he explores jazz influenced by groove, folk and classical music with original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards.
