Jazz Jam
The 2nd Monday of every month see's an open invitation to all local Jazz musician's to come and jam with the house band, led by Dave Spencer. **The now famous **Matt & Phreds Jazz Jam has this year attracted the likes of Chuck Perkins, Lonnie Liston Smith and his Band and Ben Clatworthy, as well as members of Riot Jazz and H.A.Q. This is a chance to see a diverse section of musicians from the North-West and beyond play impromptu sets together. Led by Dave Spencer of Marley Chingus, don’t be surprised if you see a few well known faces on the stage.
The Jazz Jam is a chance for musicians to get together and get creative. It is open to all, entry is free and all instruments are welcome, including jazz vocalists.
Dave Spencer will assemble a friendly host of musicians every session. The Jam is a great chance to meet with like-minded musicians, and a rare opportunity to see creative and inventive Jazz played in true improvised style.
