Kefaya
When we introduced Kalimero to the club during last year's Jazz Festival we knew they'd be something special, so we're very pleased to welcome them back under their new name of Kefaya.
Originally from Italy, bandleader Giuliano is a virtuosic guitarist adept at many different genres, with a hybrid style embracing the Indian Classical, Arabic, Flamenco, Latin and European folk traditions. He feeds this into the project by guiding soulful improvisations from an equally versatile band, boasting some of Manchester’s most distinctive voices. Kefaya's sound is totally unique - played with a majesty that is truly spellbinding - and so this is a gig that comes with very high recommendations for all music lovers, wherever your allegiances usually lie.
