Previous support act to The Godfather of Soul James Brown and funk legends the Average White Band, it has not taken long for this award winning acid jazz supremo to create a dedicated fan base and gain recognition as one of the most innovative emerging music writers and performers to date. Summer 2013, the fourth Ray Harris album ‘The Transition’ is released. Previous record releases worldwide include prestigious labels; Record Kicks (Europe), P-Vine Records & Think Records (Japan) Mr Bongo (UK), Chin Chin Records (Germany) and DeMajors (Indonesia). Such record releases have coincided with extensive touring of Asia and Europe with acclaimed performances at Jakarta International Jazz Festival Indonesia; Penang Island Jazz Festival Malaysia; I-Jazz Festival Holland, The Hague Jazz Festival Holland and touring performances throughout China, Japan, Europe & the UK. Previously featured ‘live in session’ on the BBC; Radio 2 DJ Mark Lamarr, voted Harris’ track ‘One Of A Kind’ in his top 10 tracks of 2009.
