The Sarah Smith Trio play gypsy jazz with authentic passion, fire and virtuosity. This band is keeping the spirit of the music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli alive.
The band features Sarah Smith on Violin, Tim Smith on Rhythm guitar/Vocal, Remi Harris on Lead guitar + guest player John Dover on Bass.
As well as making many television and radio appearances, Violinist Sarah has been a session musician for the BBC. She has toured Europe extensively, as well as Canada. Sarah was awarded “Best Young Performer” by N/C Magazine. As a member of Inspector Gadjo, she won first place at an International Gypsy Jazz Festival in 2009. Sarah has performed with some of the world’s top Gypsy and Swing jazz musicians, including Gary Potter, Frank Vignola, and Martin Limberger.
