Soul Sessions presents: FRAMEWORKS with LIVE band & Pieces of a Man

Soul Sessions are back again debuting two new acts.

FRAMEWORKS: * With a full live band*
The Frameworks sound is heavily influenced by bands such as Cinematic Orchestra and Bonobo, as well as the soundtracks of Danny Elfman. Look out for a full-length album from Frameworks in the coming months, as well as live shows from his newly formed band in the UK and in Croatia for Soundwave Festival.

Vanish is the debut EP on First Word from 29 year old producer Matt Brewer aka Frameworks. Another product of the thriving music scene of Manchester he's been building a following over the last few years with releases on Organik Records, My First Moth (new album coming soon with Blu Rum 13) and Hero Records.

For his first release he's collaborated with singers Sabira Jade and Ríoghnach Connolly to craft a beautiful EP full of lush soundscapes and dusty, jazzy beats. Title track Vanish is an obvious highlight, with Sabira’s delicate vocals combined with obscure folk samples and expansive intstrumentation. Dawn has a more brooding, menacing tone, offset by fantastic vocals from Ríoghnach that echo the unorthodox soul of Bajka (Radio Citizen).

Pieces of a Man : An original neo-soul band
Led by 4 vocalists, it is defined by its ‘Wall of Harmony’ sound. Drawing inspiration from the vaults to the present day, Pieces is helping to define a new era of Northern Soul. Using beats produced through a DJ, and a band backed with multi-instrumentalists, the group have a heavy groove with an expansive sound. Easily moving from 'up' to down beat grooves, Pieces covers the whole spectrum of soul whilst always remaining rich in sound.

HAPPY HOUR DEALS ARE AVAILABLE BETWEEN 7 - 9PM.
