Stuart McCallum 'Projects' Residency
Stuart and Rioghnach Connolly ( she of Honeyfeet fame) have been collaborating on a new album for the past few months, using material from earlier 'Projects' sessions. The result is a blend of subtle electronica, beats and folk, featuring Rioghnach's soulful vocals with Stuart's trippy, ethereal guitar, loops and effects. Joined by Luke Flowers on Drums.
BACKGROUND
As one of the hardest working musicians we know, Stuart is constantly writing new material for the various projects he has on the go at any one time. He is currently developing an album with a pool of talented musicians and now uses his monthly slot at the club to showcase the new material that comes as a result.
His current project is a collaboration with guest musicians including vocalist Rioghnach Connolley, beatboxer Jason Singh, drummer Luke Flowers and bassist Jon Thorne. They have so far managed to write an album’s worth of material and will be using the live shows to work on the arrangements before going into the studio later on in the year.
