J2oh are a hybrid-jazz duo based in the North of England, with Jenny Walinetski on drums and Jemma Freese on keys and vocals. Their energetic and emotionally epic sound comes from a hybrid of hiphop/trap/dnb/electronic and contemporary jazz, using cross signatures, melodic phrasing, rhythmical hooks, complex harmony and vocal sound bites to create their sound.
Each composition is rooted in improvisation, which is part of their creative process and is also how the two met. Influences include; Floating Points, Gretchen Parlato, Yussef Kamaal, Portico Quartet, Slowly Rolling Camera and Richard Spaven.
Performance highlights include; Leeds Jazz Festival, Band on the Wall, Low Four Studios and supporting K.O.G. and Franz Von (Nubiyan Twist) in Sheffield. In 2022 they received a placement on Sage Gateshead’s Summer Studios scheme.
Tonight, expect an original performance of drums and synth/vocals based high energetic music, with a heavy focus on hybrid jazz with elements of DnB and time crossovers. A few sneaky covers will be thrown in, in J2oh’s unique style.

Fat-Suit are forward thinking and nostalgic at the same time.
Influence of the modern jazz greats combine with noughties indie guitar riffs, 90s dance sounds, and timeless groove and funk. Their softer side opens up to folk melodies with celtic roots.
Equally at home on a late night festival slot, jazz club, or concert hall, some recent performance highlights include Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Boomtown, Vsetin Jazz Festival (CZ), Budapest Jazz Club, and Jazzdock (Prague).
Hailed as ‘One’s to Watch’ by Jazzwise magazine, and winners of ‘Best Band’ & ‘Best Album’ at the Scottish Jazz Awards, they embrace a seamless mix of musical styles in a 'showcase of sonic domination. One to dance at' (STV).
