The fabulous Sam Jefferson is back tonight for our Free Early Evening Gig!

Sam Jefferson gained his reputation as a skilled slide guitarist, songwriter and performer on the Brighton blues and folk music scenes. Drawing inspiration from legends such as Lonnie Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Bert Jansch and Ry Cooder, Sam has taken his music to audiences all over the country and around Germany too.

Since moving to Manchester in September 2017, Sam has laid out his brand of blues and folk from the Northern Quarter to Chorlton, including opening for Ralph McTell at the RNCM, earning Ralph’s praise that ”It was a pleasure to work with a young musician of such maturity, humility and ability.”

Sam will perform a set of his own arrangements of blues standards, complemented by originals that draw from the blues, folk and jazz traditions.
