Welcoming Elf Mode, a 5-piece jazz fusion band from Leeds, to Matt and Phred’s.
Elf Mode are inspired by 90s fusion, think Joshua Redman, and modern UK jazz, think Waaju, combined with psychedelic and rock soundscapes.
The lineup is Emma Coates on saxophone, Harry Souter on guitar, Liam Mason on keys, Jarred Dean on bass, and Herbie Underwood on drums. The 5-piece band write unique tunes using unusual synths and guitar tones, deconstructing the tunes live through free improvisation.
