We absolutely LOVE a Halloween party at Matt & Phred’s, so this year we’ve lined up one of our favourite and biggest bands to party properly.

Before Full Tilt Collective take to the stage, we have the phenomenal brass-heavy high-octane New Car Smell playing a full set to get things started - we can’t wait to welcome them to the club. From then on, the party truly will be in full swing…

London-based Full Tilt Collective are the perfect Saturday night entertainment, and this will be no exception… Expect powerful vocals, brass a-plenty, and all-round night-long dance-inducing bangers from start to end.

Influenced by the likes of Hot 8 Brass Band, Funkadelic, Toots and the Maytals and Sly and the Family Stone, frontman and founder Nathan Thomas was inspired to start Full Tilt Collective following a road trip from New Orleans to Nashville. Since their debut in 2016, Full Tilt have graced the stage at venues all over London including Rich Mix, The Blues Kitchen and Hootananny Brixton, Pizza Express Jazz Club, Paper Dress Vintage, and Archspace as well as festivals like Isle of Wight, Small World and Sunrise. Having raised the roof of M&P’s to say the least back in February 2020, we’ve been very much looking forward to inviting Full Tilt back to our little jazz club to carry on where they left off.

An ever-growing collective of musicians, any one lineup features lead vocals, guitar, two backing vocalists, two trumpets, two trombones, baritone sax, tenor/alto sax, drums and sousaphone. With members of the Collective including graduates of Guildhall and Trinity Colleges of music, much of the band has a background in jazz music, resulting in bombastic solos to complement their heady riffs and raucous live show.

From some hugely impressive original tunes, to pop and funk classics from across the decades, maybe even to a few fitting spooky numbers… If you don’t already adore Full Tilt, you will after this gig.

And YES, please do come in costume if you fancy it (we will be!).
