Pat Jaffe is a pianist/composer from Melbourne, Australia, whose music sits at the intersection of jazz and classical genres. He will be touring music from his new album LUNSEN, releasing in late-2026 on the ABC Jazz label. Named after the forest near where Pat lived in Sweden, the album’s compositions conjure up a combination of tranquil beauty and untamed wildness, linked together by Pat’s charismatic storytelling.

Pat was the winner of the 2020 Allan Zavod Performers’ Award, has been a finalist in the APRA AMCOS Art Music Awards and has worked as an arranger/collaborator with Nai Palm (Hiatus Kaiyote) and Academy Award winning singer-songwriter Markéta Irglová. His debut album ‘Eldorado’, was recorded in Reykjavík with the Siggi String Quartet and he has since released two albums with Brisbane-based label MADE NOW MUSIC.

Pat currently co-leads a weekly residency at Old Plates Record Bar with Afrospace Interchange, featuring legendary South African drummer Brian Abrahams, which has built up a cult following over the past three years. An active fixture of the Melbourne music scene, Pat also performs and records with bands such as the Jazzlab Orchestra, Monash Art Ensemble, Owelu Dreamhouse, and Andrea Keller's Composers Circle.

“The music contained both irrepressible energy and heart-melting beauty ... Jaffe has turned one of his favourite places in nature into a musical space for discovery, trust, passion and vulnerability. It’s a space I’d gladly revisit any time. ★★★★”

From Buenos Aires to Manchester…

Matt & Phred’s proudly presents Tango Jazz Quartet; a wonderful and creative collision of Argentinian Tango and Jazz roots.

With 10 albums released 31 international tours made, including 7 consecutive years in UK, the band has performed in the most prestigious jazz clubs and festivals in Europe, USA, China, Russia, South America and Africa.

TJQ is distinguished by its innovative approach to interpreting Argentine Popular Music and by its constant activity and innovation in its musical offerings. The music of Tango Jazz Quartet ranges from traditional tango to the music of Astor Piazzolla, without ever leaving the realm of jazz.

The band has been declared ‘Tango Ambassadors’ by the Buenos Aires Legislature and is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina.

Welcoming all musicians/singers to jam with the band - just chat to the band leader!

Every 2nd Monday of the month sees M&P’s become an unmatched nucleus of all things Jazz for both local musicians and visitors to musically express themselves in a way nowhere else can offer.

Led by Johnny Hunter and his band, musicians of any level, brought together by their love of Jazz, are welcomed to the M&P stage to jam the night away alongside some of the finest musicians in the North. This is a unique experience to come together with others to perform some classic Jazz, be it a 'standard' or something more modern, whilst showing the rest of the performers and audience your approach to improvisation.

Whilst the Jazz Jam can very much go anywhere, we are passionate about keeping things true to Jazz. These jams are all about recreating the atmosphere and excitement of 1940's venues Minton's Playhouse and Monroe's where this music was created, and musicians like Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, Mary Lou Williams learned their craft and developed the Bebop language.

Come along and watch the evening unfold. Anything can happen. Over the years, our famous Jazz Jam has attracted the likes of Chuck Perkins, Lonnie Liston Smith, Benn Clatworth, as well as members of Riot Jazz Brass Band, GoGo Penguin, and the Beats & Pieces Big Band. Who knows who might make an appearance tonight…

Welcoming all musicians/singers to jam with the band - just chat to the band leader!

The big sounds of New Orleans come to M&P’s for the New Orleans Jam, held every 3rd Monday of the month and hosted by mighty house band The Nightcreatures. With a strong emphasis on the involvement of brass, these monthly Jam sessions are sure to make you feel like you’ve travelled over the Atlantic to Louisiana.

The New Orleans Jam sees our little jazz club filled with the blaring brass, Rhythm and Blues, Second Line Grooves, Street Beats, Funk, Rock’n’Roll, and Rhumba of New Orleans, where the round-the-clock atmosphere sees never ending music filling the streets… This is the music of Dr. John, Fats Domino, Jelly Roll Morton, and Professor Longhair, to name but a few, and those who come by to play at the jams follow in their footsteps tremendously.

NOLA tunes really are in a class of their own, being seen by many as the true origin of traditional jazz. The bringing together of musicians in New Orleans, to all be united by music, is all about the atmosphere of a live performance. Horns aplenty, thundering drums, heavy guitar riffs, and whatever other instrument might appear would come together to create a sound to celebrate life and ensure the party never stops. The M&P New Orleans Jam sees musicians from any background brought together by this same attitude to live music. So long as it’s played in a New Orleans style… Anything goes.

Come down and experience the wonders of the Jam happening in front of your eyes, and don’t be surprised if you’re persuaded to have a good old dance too.

Armed-to-the-teeth with new and original music, Vincent Flatts Final Drive are going full bore into 2026. Nothing but full-on, southern-infused, good-time, country rock ‘n’ roll. And it won’t come retail. Wholesale only. Keep your eyes peeled for a gallon of new songs, all released online, and a tanker-load of gigs at venues up-and-down the country and beyond.

Now, if you don’t know the band yet, you’ll feel like you do once you see them live. Stephen “Bertie” Burton fronts the band, and his killer voice and come-one-come-all stage presence hits every last person right between the eyes. Come see for yourself. He’s the real deal. In the 80s, Bertie fronted UK rock band Starfighters, touring the USA with AC/DC on their ‘Back in Black’ tour and Ozzy Osbourne on his ‘Diary of a Madman’ tour. In the 90s he fell in love with country music. The real kind. And it was then the Flatts was born.

Fastforward 20 years and Bertie’s high-octane, no-holds barred approach to life and living took its toll. After some much-needed time out, he joined three other musicians (each nearly half his age) to reform his baby. Together, they've become a force, with critics likening their live performances to legends like Little Feat, and modern acts like Blackberry Smoke and the Zac Brown Band.

Since then, the band has performed at venues and festivals across the UK, Europe and Scandinavia.
