Juggenaught are a Birmingham based Quartet, led by pianist Piera Onacko. Incorporating soundscapes and open passages with heavy grooves and structured basslines, the band bring avant-garde and experimental influences into the modern piano ensemble.
Following appearances including Cheltenham, Lancaster and Marsden Jazz Festivals, Spice of Life, Symphony Hall and Hare and Hounds the band are continuing to make a name for themselves on the UK jazz scene.
The Band are planning a new EP with new member Alicia Gardener Trejo on Saxophones, supported by a summer tour in 2022, Alicia will be joining the trio tonight meaning a very special quartet performance is promised!
Expect original compositions from across the band members, with a handful of covers and standards thrown in.
"I have heard Juggenaught on several occasions and love both Piera's compositions and the way the band interacts with each other."
- Tony Dudley-Evans, Programme Adviser, BMusic/Cheltenham Jazz Festival
