After absolutely raising the roof of M&P’s for their first gig with us back in November, we are incredibly excited to welcome Yubaba back to the club!

Yubaba are North Wales’ and the North West’s premier Funk & Soul act. This vocal-led 6 piece band never fail to get audiences of all ages moving with their infectious mix of Funk, Soul, Ska and Reggae.

With a mighty repertoire spanning from classic grooves to more modern chart tracks, Yubaba add their own arrangements and twists to Funk, Soul, and Reggae hits from the 80’s to today.

From The White Stripes, to Amy Winehouse, to The Beatles, to James Brown, to Aretha Franklin, to Junior Senior, and so far very beyond…

The hugely competent line up of vocals, saxophone, guitar, keyboards, bass, and drums promise to ignite the atmosphere of our little backstreet jazz club from song one. This is to be a Saturday night in the company of a fantastic band whose awesome showmanship and skill will get you dancing in your seat, then on the dance floor, then all the way home.

The Line Up:
Lead Vocals – Jess Beatson
Guitar – Alex Carter
Keyboards - James Corbett
Bass Guitar – Kris Owen
Saxophone – Adrian Kindred
Drums – Ben Neal

James Bagnall is a classically trained musician, writing modern piano music with strong harmonies and intimate melodies. During his studies of music at Huddersfield University, James took inspiration from the lyricism of Chopin and the modern-day works of Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds. James has an improvisational style, attempting to recreate his music on stage, while taking in the ambience of the setting.

Being a fan of the modern day take on classical music by James Rhodes, James is keen on the idea of classical and modern piano music being accessible, and not for the privileged few. Why should it not be enjoyed with a group of friends and a few good beers?!

Plus it’s HAPPY HOUR 5-6:30pm
-> 2 drinks = FREE PIZZA
-> 2 house cocktails = £10
