Rory & Mel are a jazz and soul duo from Manchester! Mel’s love for soul and disco with Rory’s adoration for bossa nova will guarantee you an evening of blissful classics.
Mel appeared on the John Lewis Christmas Advert ‘24 with her rendition of Sonnet by the Verve & the duet are part of a larger band playing original soul & pop music across Manchester. From Amy Winehouse to Bee gees, the duo have a vast repertoire that any age can immerse themselves in & enjoy.

Ed Kainyek is a prolific saxophonist based in Manchester, with a long and varied career in jazz and education, who has performed at countless venues and festivals around the world.
The quartet’s repertoire spans traditional jazz standards, contemporary jazz, and relaxed ambient sets. Whether leading his own band, jamming with fellow musicians, or teaching the next generation, Ed Kainyek stands as a dedicated and skilled figure in Manchester’s jazz and live music community.
Today, Ed is joined by a mighty line up of piano, double bass, and drums - expect two fantastic sets guaranteed to leave you in awe of this mighty line up.

New York Brass band were one of the first contemporary Brass Bands to play at M&P's. With a full-on 8-piece New Orleans inspired gig, these guys certainly set the bar for a night of cool Brass sounds!
New York Brass Band are North Yorkshire’s only contemporary New Orleans inspired Brass Band. Hailing from the ancient streets of York the band are at the forefront of a funky brass revolution that is sweeping the UK.
Inspired by Rebirth Brass Band, Soul Rebels, Hot 8, Youngblood and Brassroots, NYBB pack a powerful punch of relentless drums, rumbling tuba and wailing horns… nothing kicks a party into gear like the sound of a smokin’ New Orleans Mardi Gras Jazz Band.
