A highly respected figure on the Manchester jazz scene, pianist Andrzej Baranek is known for his swinging, inventive style and deep understanding of the jazz tradition. Over the years he has become one of the North West’s most in-demand jazz pianists, performing alongside some of the UK’s finest musicians and appearing in ensembles including the acclaimed Magic Hat Ensemble.
With a style rooted in the great traditions of bebop, swing and classic jazz piano, Andrzej brings a rare combination of technical brilliance, musical sensitivity and effortless improvisation to every performance. His playing has been praised for its energy, creativity and ability to breathe new life into timeless standards.
Tonight Andrzej is joined by a stellar band for a night of the finest classic jazz, bringing together some of the best musicians on the scene for an evening of timeless tunes, inspired improvisation and truly exceptional musicianship.
