Good Grief are a four-piece instrumental group hailing from Manchester, consisting of Jerome on sax and flute, Jack on drums, Andrian on guitar, and Dan on bass.

Their live performances are known to be full of warmth and imagination, with each show being unique due to their blend of solid beats with improvisation.

The group was formed in 2016 and draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists such as Tom Misch, Thundercat, and Anderson .Paak, to name a few. Good Grief's music genre can be described as a fusion of neo-soul, jazz, and hip-hop, as they weave together hard-hitting beats with intricately woven guitar and sax textures.

Their sound has been likened to other popular instrumental groups such as Nubiyan Twist, Ezra Collective, and BadBadNotGood. Their performances have a unique feel every time, offering the audience a one-of-a-kind experience. With their infectious beats and creative flair, Good Grief is a band to watch out for in the instrumental music scene.

Come and join them in a betwixtmas stupor as them get creative on stage!

Good Grief will be Launching their new single AKIMBO which will be available on platforms from the 28th december. They've been working super hard in the studio to bring you the tastiest recordings; AKIMBO is the first of FOUR coming out soon. Come and Celebrate the damn mix being complete for this tune along with their explorative sets designed exclusively for the good patrons of Matt and Phreds.
