Gather round for a festive evening of jazz, storytelling and winter warmth.
Vocalist and songwriter Nishla Smith and long-time collaborator trumpeter Aaron Wood bring together a hand-picked ensemble of exceptional jazz musicians for a special series of seasonal concerts, celebrating the release of a new festive EP.
The Things We Did Last Summer features an original Christmas song alongside a collection of the best-loved wintery jazz standards. Together, the musicians explore the familiar and the unexpected: transforming seasonal favourites through the language of jazz. Expect inventive arrangements, beautiful harmonies and swinging rhythms from some of the UK’s best improvisors.
