Luso-British Portuguese artist Maya Blandy, whose debut ‘Stardust’ album was co-written and produced with Jake Wherry (founding member of The Herbaliser), brings her deeply soulful, jazz-inflected songwriting to life in her Trio — accompanied by piano and trumpet.

Since first collaborating in 2021, Maya and Wherry have crafted a fresh, distinctive sound rooted in influences like The Emotions, Sade, Donny Hathaway, and Erykah Badu. Their breakthrough single “Stardust” (featuring Kathy Brown) garnered support from BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing, and airplay across the UK and Portugal.
