We’re in the mood for some PROPER summer vibes here at M&P’s. And what screams summer better than a live band playing tunes with roots Jamaican and Caribbean music, Pina Coladas & other fruity exotic drinks in-hand, and colourful shirts and flower garlands as far as the eye can see…

Even better… There will be PRIZES for the best outfit and best dancer! The winners will be decided by the band, so make sure you’re up close on the dance floor!

The featured band for M&P’s Tropical Party is The Castaways - a 7-piece band playing a uniquely authentic mix of old school Jamaican and 1950’s/60’s Caribbean ska, reggae, calypso and soul.

With influences from the likes of The Skatalites, Earnest Ranglin, Jimmy Cliff, Prince Bister, Sonny Rollins and Don Drummond, what’s not to like?!

The collection of Manchester/Macclesfield based band members bring their own jazz, soul and rock influences to the mix, making an all-round fantastic set of music which is just a rare pleasure to experience live.
