It’s officially Mardi Gras Day, and that means we simply must celebrate properly ahead of our big Mardi Gras Weekender at Matt & Phred’s.

Tonight, we introduce Junkyard Brass Band: a collective of some of our favourite brass musicians who regularly play at M&P’s, never failing to put a smile on everyone’s face and a spring in everyone’s step.

Feel like you’ve been transported over to Louisana, as we promise a hot steppin’ night of classic New Orleans second line, Mardi Gras music and street beats.

This irresistible line up of trumpet, trombone, sousaphone and drums will get you thinking it’s the weekend again already.

Featuring songs made famous by the great New Orleans brass bands Rebirth Brass Band, Treme Brass Band, The Dirty Dozen, Big Sam’s Funky Nation as well as classic RnB tunes from Allen Toussaint, Dr John and Professor Longhair.
