Stefan Mahendra, a South London-based artist and producer, emerges as a distinct anomaly in the modern R&B landscape. Hailing from a rich cultural heritage, Stefan is the fusion of his Sri Lankan father and German mother, embodying a unique blend of influences. Raised in South London, he developed a profound connection to his roots while growing up immersed in the vibrant sounds of D'angelo, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, and Stevie Wonder.

His musical odyssey began with a collaborative venture alongside the South London-based duo 'Fika,' resulting in the release of four tracks that set the stage for his meteoric rise. The crescendo of this journey culminated in the triumph of his first sold-out show at the esteemed 'Pizza Express Jazz Club' in Holborn. A testament to his growing acclaim, this milestone was swiftly followed by a second sold-out spectacle at the legendary 'Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club,' further solidifying his status as a rising star. In June 2023, Mahendra played his biggest sold out show to date at the 250-cap venue 'The Lower Third' in Soho.

The release of his debut EP, 'Sentiments,' in July 2023 left an indelible mark on the streaming platforms, with his tracks earning coveted spots on editorial playlists curated by Spotify and Apple Music (Soul Coffee, Slow Jams, Serotonin, Orbit, Jazz UK, Brown Sugar, New in RnB, and Smooth & Easy). The recognition reached new heights when his release, 'Orbit,' was featured on the renowned Joe Budden Podcast, garnering exposure to a massive audience of over 1 million followers. BBC Radio 1, specifically the Future Soul Show, has showered support for Mahendra's tracks, elevating his presence in the industry.

Looking ahead, 2024 promises to be a year of continued ascent for Mahendra, with a lineup of several highly anticipated releases. Fans can also anticipate a thrilling support slot for Zoe Kypri at The Jazz Cafe in March 2024, underscoring Mahendra's place as an artist destined for even greater heights.

This evening, Stefan takes to the stage for a vocals/piano performance of his original material as well as some well known Soul/RnB covers.
