Not a firm of solicitors, with a penchant for alliteration, but three very fine jazz players, brought together by Hammond to perform music mainly written by Harris.
A well known jazz guitarist, composer and arranger, Derrick has worked in radio and television, taught at Leeds College of Music, played with orchestras such as the Halle, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and the Royal Northern Sinfonia and performed with many top jazz players such as Alan Barnes, Enrico Tomasso, and Simon Spillett.
Richard Hammond is a prominent British double and electric bassist, composer and educator, he has had a broad career playing in many types of ensemble. This has led to regularly performing, touring and recording with artists such as Gary Barlow, Josh Groban, Sister Sledge, Leo Sayer, Tony Hadley, Mica Paris, Omar, Alexander O’Neil, ’The Sessions Live’, JP Cooper, Imelda May, Jane McDonald (as Musical Director), Vincent Niclo, Tom McRae, The Halle Orchestra, Tony Christie, Joe Longhorne, The Liverpool Philamonic Orchestra, Peter Grant, PJ Proby, and many jazz and blues artists.
Richard is currently teaching bass at Degree and Masters level at The Royal Northern College of Music and for The Pop Music Degree Course at Hudderfield University. Richard has previously taught at Leeds College of Music, Hull College, Leeds University and Wakefield College. He currently holds a Masters Degree in Research.
