The Retrosettes are the band guaranteed to put a huge smile on every audience member’s face and likely get you up and dancing from the offset.
The Retrosettes are a vintage styled band from Manchester, UK and have been making music together for over 10 years. Originally starting out as a Jazz band, they are now finishing off their second album of original music after a varied and unique journey in the music industry over the last decade. The band’s has since been perfecting their amazing original project, The Horse Puppets, which has gained a large and hugely loyal fanbase. It’s no wonder, these musicians are true masters of their craft who produce a gorgeous sound like no other. You can imagine what happens when they turn their hand to some pop hits…
The band’s repertoire is VAST. Audiences of any age are going to absolutely love the band’s take on what is likely one your favourite songs. From 50’s Rock ’n’ Roll (Elvis, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles…), to 60’s Pop and Soul (Marvin Gaye, The Beach Boys, The Beatles…), to 70’s and 80’s all-time bangers (Toto (yep, you know the one), Madness, Fleetwood Mac, The Eurythmics…), to hits from the 90’s to the present day… This band literally has it all. The vast repertoire is certainly be no means just on paper, each and every band member’s raw talent, musicianship, and showmanship is second to none. When the night is over, you’ll be as in love as The Retrosettes as we were the first time we met them.

Ayanam is a Nigerian singer but considers his "musical home" to be Manchester. He grew up in Nigeria but moved to the UK at the age of 16 and it's reflected in his musical style - taking inspiration from everyone from the Nsync to Outlandish to Paolo Nutini, and the Kooks - his musical taste is definitely "eclectic", but what he enjoys doing is taking songs from every genre and playing around with their conventions, turning the most bubble gum of pop songs into neo soul musings.
A lyricist at heart, having written poetry since 16, his raspy tone may remind you of passionate crooners like Rob Thomas and Paolo Nutini. Although most of his sets are covers. His original songs explore his struggles with anxiety as he finds it therapeutic.
In 2019, Ayanam was a member of Sir Tom Jones' team on The Voice UK getting as far as the knockouts. We think you’ll agree that this gig is set to be something very special indeed!
